Kenya safari, Giraffe Manor and Zanzibar

Giraffe manor had been on Lynns “radar” for quite a while. When you are travelling such a long distance to Africa it seems silly not to combine some other things at the same time. So bearing this in mind we decided to start off with a couple of safaris, firstly going to Laikipia then on to the Masai Mara. After this its a couple of nights at Giraffe Manor before ending with a week in Zanzibar.

Kicheche Laikipia

After a night in Nairobi it’s off to Kicheche Laikipia.
Kicheche Laikipia is a tented camp with a focus on wilderness and wildlife experiences, also offering comfort, great food and a warm welcome. Simply, yet very well designed and decorated, it’s an excellent base for safari and wildlife photography enthusiasts coming to explore the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Kicheche Olare Bush Camp

After a short flight its on to Kicheche Bush Camp
Set within the heart of Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Kicheche Bush Olare is a low-impact, elegant tented camp offering one of the most exclusive safari experiences in the greater Masai Mara. Nestled in a wildlife-abundant corner, it combines seclusion and comfort with an unbroken connection to the wilderness. It has a warm, understated hospitality that feels like your home in the wild.

Giraffe Manor

Giraffe Manor is an iconic boutique hotel set in a leafy suburb of Nairobi. Owned and operated by The Safari Collection, there are twelve individually decorated rooms, offering first-class comfort and the feeling of staying in an elegant family home. The charming herd of resident Nubian giraffes roam the surrounding sanctuary and give guests unique, once-in-a-lifetime encounters over breakfast and afternoon tea when they can be fed by hand.

Zanzibar

Finally its on to Zanzibar for some much needed RnR
