Before we got to Yosemite we looked on their reservations website and realised there was only one place left in the valley available for 3 consecutive days, so we booked it. What a place! right next to the river with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were! We had some great neighbours who we spent a couple of evenings with and hope to catch up with on the PCH. Incidentally they told us they had booked up 5 months previously to get their site. The weather was fabulous and we did some walking, sightseeing, BBQing and relaxing.
Here’s a test for those of you with good eyesight. There are at least 7 seven climbers on the very large rock in the centre of the first picture which is called Half Dome. See if you can spot them; if not just go to the next picture until you can.
From here we headed west over the Tioga Pass 9,900′ to the Bodie State Park
